The spell affects 1 target plus 1 per 2 ranks. All targets must be within a 120 degree arc in front of the mage and easily seen my him. The mage targets one entity and then all other targets must be within 60 degrees of that target on either side. All entities subject to this spell have their running, crawling, flying, or swimming halved and have the time it takes them to do anything doubled.
For combat, that means that someone who normally gets 2 attacks per round, gets 1 attack per round. Someone who normally gets 3 attacks per round, gets 3 attacks per 2 rounds (1 attack the first round, 2 attacks the second round, 1 attack the third round, etc.).
For mages and clerics, casting times are doubled. If a spell can normally be cast in 1 round, it takes 2 rounds.
Note that targets can only be under the effect of a single Slow effect at one time. Multiple Slow spells or effects do not compound. |
