By expending one spell point, the mage is able to create a Witchlight - a small sphere of light that floats in the air and is under the mental control of the mage. The mage may command the light to any location within range and sight at a TMR of 20. He can also command it to "attach" itself to an object, such as the mage's staff, and remain there until commanded otherwise. A mage can generate a single Witchlight as a free action. Additional Witchlights created in the same round are half round actions. Moving a Witchlight is a half round action that can take place before, in the middle of, or after movement or other action.
The Witchlight sheds light in a maximum radius of 10 (+2 per rank) feet but can be commanded to dim all the way down to the illumination of a small candle. |
