This special knowledge ritual allows the mage to choose one effect from the table below that will last for the duration of the ritual. The duration is equal to (rank with ritual + D10) x the number of hours spent in purification (max 3). The D10 roll is rolled by the DM and is kept secret until the effects wear off. The number of hours spent in the ritual also determines the spell point cost. A 1 hour ritual costs 5 spell points. A 2 hour ritual costs 10 spell points. A 3 hour ritual costs 20 spell points.
This ritual is a cleansing and meditation ritual and, as such, does not require ritual components.

If the range also serves as an area of effect, then this effect doesn't apply. Thus, this effect does not apply to spells such as Location or Telepathy. However, it can be used with spells such as Sending to extend the range. |
